Aidyn did a great job at her gymnastics meet. She was pretty nervous, but she did it and we are so proud! She got one first place ribbon for her floor routine, two second place ribbons for bars and vault, and a third place ribbon for her beam routine. These are some pictures of her warming up and some with her team mates and her coach Miss Anne. And of course some of her posing for the camera.
Ryan and I got to go to the Temple with his mom and dad while they were here. We went to lunch afterwards and just had a really nice day. We all were so happy they were able to come out to see us. Everyone was a little sad when they left, especially Aidyn who cried for a while after they left.
We always go to the pumpkin patch before Halloween. This time grandma and grandpa got to go with us. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of the kids with Linda and VarDee. This year we painted our pumpkins, last year we learned that it's just too hot still in Texas for carving pumpkins they get moldy and mushy and gross.
Mason was baptized and confirmed on July 5th by his dad. We were able to do it while in Utah this summer. We had alot of family and friends there share in Mason's big day. Uncle Jeff and Uncle Brett both gave really great talks and I know that was really special for Mason. Aren't my guys handsome?!
It was so nice to have all his cousins and grandparents and friends there for his special day. This is a picture of the Hooley cousins at the after party. We ate lots of pizza and had yummy brownies.
Here we are out on the front lawn doing fireworks. Kennedy was at the Stadium of Fire with Mckenna , Madi and Rikkie. Miley Cyrus was performing and they were lucky enough to get tickets and even some autographs. Madilyn was able to meet her and talk to her. The girls were even on the 10 o'clock news. That was a big night for them.
Ryan really wanted to get in the mountains while in Utah, so he took Kennedy, Mason , and there cousin Weston up to hike toTimp cave on the fourth of July. Ryan's brother's family also went. I think Uncle Jeff went too. Aidyn and I stayed home with the younger cousins and went boating instead with Michelle and John and their kids, and Tessa.
We got to go camping while we were in Utah this summer. One trip to Skyline with the Hooley's and a trip to the Big Horn Ranch with the Ovard's. Mason and Aidyn loved practicing there shooting skills. They set up targets out in the bushes and they did that for a quite a while. Kennedy was too busy riding Weston's 4 wheeler to do much of anything else. Weston is always so nice to share his wheeler with the kids. Thanks buddy!
We were able to go to Utah for a few weeks this summer. We went for Mason's baptism and it was so nice to have our families there for the big event. I know it meant alot to Mason. We got to fly this time and it was so much better than a two day car trip with three kids and two dogs would have been. We took some family pictures while we were there, we went camping (twice), and just had a really good time.
